Residence Seaquarium

This house lies on the south coast of CuraƧao and follows the contours of the coastline. The different levels in the house are based on the existing height of the rocks. This feature brings an extra dynamic to the design.
The client wanted a tropical Caribbean house with high open roofs and low galleries. These can be found in the building style and atmosphere of the house where the different components are linked to each other. The roofs are finished in Canadian wood shingles.
The roof extensions on the south side ensure the house is protected from the sun, and natural ventilation is optimal. This makes for a pleasant environment. There is also a reverse osmosis system that converts seawater into fresh water for the swimming pool.
